Good evening! The PO of my 149 did his best to strip the SP threads from the head. Fortunately he was not successful. How do I repair the threads? Any ideas welcomed, but the right idea genuinely appreciated! Thanks!

Jeff, my blower is a 42, and I'll need it for next winter! Couldn't push any more snow this year, we got too much at a time. Will the 12 or 14 HP support the blower sufficiently? I can buy a 1450, but the asking price is a bit steep, the guy thinks he's got gold!

Thanks, Marty. I checked their inventory and didn't see anything. I'll check with Chris Westfall. Hoping to find one in MI.

Evening! Any input from anyone regarding a small diesel engine versus a Kohler gas engine? I need to buy an engine for my 149 to power my snowthrower, a project slated for this summer. No engine in the 149 right now. Thoughts are appreciated!

Good afternoon! I have an opportunity to acquire a 1450, complete and running, with deck. I currently have a 149. I also have a QA-42 thrower. I know the 149 is a wide frame, so is the 1450 considered a wide frame, and is so, will the thrower fit the 1450? My 149 only has a 12 HP, not original...

Good afternoon! I'm broke down in the driveway with my 149, engine runs, but drive shaft is not turning from the engine back. I don't have a repair manual, is there anything online? Can someone point me to an archived manual? HELP!

Hi Guys! I'm looking for some info for my 149. Currently has hydraulic lift for front implements, but nothing for the rear. I would like to add a rear scraper blade, is there a hitch made for this, or do I have to "engineer" one? Any help or site referrals would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks...

Hey fellas, I need a question answered, and my Cub manual doesn't give me one. Is there any way to run a rototiller (how do you spell that?) on a 149? I would appreciate ANY help including model #, etc. Thanks, Roger, SW Michigan

Do your typical parts stores carry magnetic heaters? I've never heard of one, but on the big farm tractors, before block heaters, we used to use sand in a steel 5 gallon pail, and soak it in kerosene, then light it. My Dad used it to heat his semi engine when very cold also. Back to the magnetic...

Good evening! It's beginning to get a little nippy here in SW Michigan, about 0 degrees tonight. Does anyone know if there is a problem with using a heated dipstick in my 149? I don't have a garage, my only other option would be a heat lamp. Ideas? Thots? Thanks, Roger

Good morning, I'm fairly new here, and just purchased a 149, to be picked up on Saturday the 9th. Can anyone tell me what the size of the rear tires should be? I can't find a manual without having the serial number, and won't have that until Saturday. ANY help is appreciated!
