    Wayne, thanks for the info. If someone has a picture of the safety switch and location it would help. I see nothing underneath, other than than the wires that where bypassed. Yeah, the wiring is the original, hopeless cause is right. I think your right about the wires running thur the frame...

    Todd, the safety switch was by passed way before I owned found wires from switch wire nutted together. Don't even see the switch or the bracket anymore. So, safety was not someone biggest concern. I found the wiring diagram. Tracing down terminals now. So far it's a mess, wiring in worse shape...

    Guys thanks for the good information, I have a newer model SLT1554 (2006) which is used for the yard mowing (2.7 acres). I know I would not want to pound on it. nor do I think it could take much. Nice lawn tractor, excellent cut but not a Garden tractor. I had heard the old Vintage tractors...

    New guy here!! I have a question for the group. Does anyone know anything about a Cub 107. Found one for $100, complete tractor with 44" mowing deck. I was told it was running last year but has been sitting for about 10 months battery is down etc. not running. It's rough but looks restore-able...
