    Marlin check connections on coil wire pull on it to see if it broken check the coil with a coil tester or take to a shop that has one.

    Frank & Richard Yes I would do a valve job while apart not a big beliver in lapping them but if money or time is a problem yes I would Lap them . I would Also check the rings. I would put Head back on And do a leak down test and you would know what kind of shape the motor is in. Leak down tester...

    Frank you can use thick grease to seal the piston and use Mineral spirits pore around valves check for leaks. While at top dead center Valves closed.If they don't leak they should be ok.

    Frank its hard to tell from the pictures make sure you have a good Valve seal turn motor over and look for cylinder scoreing .

    Motorcycle Lift for Cubbies

    Harbor Frieght Has a motorcycle lift that will lift any Motorcycle and if you extend the sides and ramp any Cub Starting at 379.00 1000pds not sure about the current Gold wing but My 1000 pd Hardy would lift them. I don' think you can build your own for that price

    John Dennis is also right on the Torque nuts and cotter key all will work after years of racing motorcycles I red lock tight everthing but the rider haven figured out how to due that yet crashed dragway 42 Ohio 156 mph for my rider that was a long slide.     John I thought about having you safty wire the nut but thought that would weeken the bolt. New subject anyone install 23/10.5/12 on 8.5 rims does this work and give you a bigger foot print? Thanks John

    John Next time you install use Red lock Tight this may cure your problem.Lock washers don't cut it.
