Re 122: starter won't shut off. Thanks to those who gave me tips. It's ok now, but I have no idea what the problem was. I pulled the reg cover, but found nothing welded up. Checked all the wiring against the correct diagram. Replaced the solenoid. Took the old one apart expecting to find...- gkutcher

122 starter won't quit. I rebuilt the S/G, and put a new voltage regulator on it. Started it up, shut it down, and the starter kept going. Had to pull a battery cable to stop it. Searched the archives, but all I could find was "whack the regulator". Any better ideas? thanks- gkutcher
