got tired of the 128 sitting around, so I decided to see if it would run...yanked the battery and key from my 107, put some gas in...and hit it once with ether... thing fired right up and ran great..i need to reroute the fuel line because it interferes with the throttle..and it needs an air...

my early 1971 147 made in march has the older style, the 1971 147 made in august has new style..the newer one appears to be all original paint and such..it really looks like it belongs Fred, do you know what month your dad's 127 was made?

yeah, I meant model year 1971, I have 2 147's made in 1971..and they both have different pto handles..so now I'm curious when exactly they did the change

ok, on the pto handles this is the new 147 I got this is my 107, also identical to my other 2 147's (including another slightly older '71) and this is my 128 now again my question is..on the 147..is that original and being a later made tractor..perhaps they changed the design...

well then, I've got 4 females and a male lol question about this 147 I just picked up..it's I believe a fairly late production piece (s# 397618 I think it was) it's got a pto handle like my 128, not my other 2 147's and 107 is this a replacement someone did, or was this a change they made...

john, I have nothing against gear drive..just my personal preference is the hydro, wouldn't really object to a nice 1x6 (or to make a 146 using my 147 parts rig)

got the 147 home, still working on figuring out the unloading procedure at the momen...from the serial number, I believe it to be a 1971 missing seat, carb, and air cleaner assembly..came with 2 lift carriages/mule drives (which I think are wide frame pieces?) plus the one on it and a deck...

Harry, went out this morning and it fired right up..i have NO idea why it wouldn't start last night.. the wires on the tractor have all been replaced with the exception of the lighting (unlike my other 147 which has a friiied wiring harness) the humming definitely sounded like...

just hit an unexpected odd snag with my 147, went out to move it to rewire the taillights bc the original wires are shot.. and even though I was just on it earlier to cut my yard..it wouldn't start..and not only that..it sounds like there is a humming coming from what I guess you could call the...
