Hi I bought a 122 but found out it has a k-241 engine since the 122 and the 102 was made in the same years, I thought an easy fix wound be to just put on new decals 102 instead of the 122. since the 241 has just had a complete overhaul and it suits me just fine. Its not the original motor. I have a 1966 cub 122, the deck has two blades I'm thinking its a 42" is there any serl # or info on the deck some where so I can order some blades for it. Also I just had the motor rebuilt, piston, gaskets,rings,cam shaft,carb rebuilt,head shaved,also new belt on deck,runs good so far, any way...- dbailey

Here's some pics of my 122 muffler with the hood up. could I possibly put the muffler that should be on here by taking all this off except the part going into the block,then screw a nipple into that part and then slide my other muffler onto the nipple, and tighten down the muffler clamp, if so I...- dbailey

Frank, your right that's exactly how the muffler is ,I will try to post some pics, with the hood up tomorrow.but what I was wanting to know is. would it be worth the trouble to put the original muffler back on just to make it look a little better.- dbailey

Ive got the muffler that goes on it . my concern is it risky to change it .I was told it could damage my block by taking the old rusty one off.also I will have to take the hood and grill off and was concerned about the wiring to the lights.but that's already been answered thanks by the way...- dbailey

I recently bought a cub 122 and motor has been replaced I run the ser# its a 102 motor its got plenty of power so that's fine with me but the problem is its got a muffler that's looks like it maybe came off a model 71 with some extra pipe it comes out the side of the motor and points down and...- dbailey

thanks for your replies about the plow hook up for my cub 122 I dont have a sleeve hitch on mine so I guess I had better get one before looking for plows.
