David, Nice pics ya got there... Steve, I was told the same thing this weekend..Hydros wont pull! It was my first time, so I didn't do all that hot, but I am happy. 78' with only 15 lbs added in the 1000 lb class. Next time, I'll have some weight brackets made and be able to get the power...

I have looked in the archives and I'm sure it has been covered but....I can't find it specifically. Maybe a good one for the FAQ section. I know the first numbers in the older cubs are the engine HP, and I know that the last number if odd is hydro/even is gear drive. What is the difference...

Bryan, if you had anything that difficult to hitch, you could cut a slight notch in the pin to catch on the top. Kinda like when refilling a grease gun. Bruce, I thought about that, but there were two things that came to mind: Three bolts and the hitch is off. I don't have to check the...

I just finished the hitch on the 122. I know it isn't an OEM hitch, but it sure beats the original sticking a pin in and out and clipping the bottom. I just removed the origial hitch plate and modified that since it will be replaced easily with an original piece. If I had a 3ph or sleeve...

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask. Am I supposed to put anything on the blade like a wax to make it more slippery? Chad

Ok, I welded up the pin this morning and also made another quick hitch plate(I have one on the JD in the picture too). Put on the tire chains after I found my air chuck and tried her out.. Impressive, but she will do more. MORE TRACTION CAPTAIN, I NEED MORE. Thinking about filling the tires...

Charlie, That thing is movin alot of dirt...I bet those AG's help. I tried it today without the chains and I can say that they are a must. I just tried to cut a path in my garden which hasn't been used yet this year. Tires were a slippin along with the clutch at times. I broke one of...

Charlie, Thanks for the info...I wish I would have had that before I put the blade on, cuz I had the lower bracket off the tractor and had to put it back on! I guess they don't have any info on the adjustment of the rod because it was a fixed and non-adjustable rod. Any recomendations on...

Any one have any tips for a first time user of a blade for moving/spreading a pile of dirt? I have an original blade for my 122 that I got with the tractor and hooked it up for the first time today. I have some clevis pins on the way from NAPA as one of you posted in the archive to make a new...

Kurt, Nice find...I am new to the cubs, so to me that seems like a rare option. I have tried to find a list of implements available for them, but not alot around here to choose from. Ya got any thing to run off that PTO? Chad

Has anyone heard from Travis S?

I have emailed him several times and haven't gotten any response. I would have thought that he might be avoiding me except he hasn't posted in a while. He also mentioned that he was sick when he last emailed me on the 10th of June.... Chad

Got a few clutch questions...I just replaced the teaser spring on my 122 and am grinding the gears when shifting. I have adjusted the clutch and can see the teaser spring totally off of the rear pressure plate and the disc is free. However when the engine is running especially at higher rpm...

Hows bout what must be an obvious question to some...What is the difference between a wide frame and a narrow frame. The tech at the cub dealer could not tell me and I don't have but one to compare it to(67' 122). Chad

Steve, Thanks for the info. BTW, in your post on the 3/4" grade 8 bolts for the pivot pin. Where do you get those and the slotted nut. Do you recall the length and the thread pitch? Chad

Tom, Just looked on the CC speciality site...I didn't realize that the parts were that cheap and I found the throttle shaft repair kit too. Thanks, Chad

Kraig Mac, Thanks for the info on the front pto for my '67 122...I replaced the wear button and it works perfectly. Are there any parts available for the fuel sediment bowl? I need the gasket for the bowl and some "packing" for the fuel shut off valve? It smells up the garage pretty bad...
