Here is another stupid question, or as my grandad said no stupid questions just stupid people. The check valves on top of the hydro. Does one control forward and one reverse? Mine is sluggish forward (fluid and filter changed) but peppy as a spring rabbit in reverse. Also this is off topic but I...

Here is a simple question but I cannot find it in FAQ or searching. When changing my hydro fluid and filter, what is the capacity.

I sure would like to see pics of a modified craftsman deck for a cub. I am tired of spotwelding my rotten deck for my wideframe.

My hydro seems awfully slow and noisey. Fluid is just at the full level. I havn't had a hydro before so I do not know whats normal. Can't get much over three miles an hour. Any ideas?

In the kind of dissapointing "look what followed me home" mood. Buddy I have bought several cubs from called and said he had a good one cheap. Bought it sight unseen. Imagine my dissapointment when he showed up with a red 1282. Anyway to get back on topic, do all wideframe decks interchange?

I know this has been asked and answered a million times, but I can't seem to find it on search. After I remove the six set screws from the PTO on my 106 how do I force the PTO off the bearing.

After about 10 minutes of running the pipe leading to my muffler is red hot. I am getting two answers from different people. Some say running rich, some say way lean. Seems to run smoothly otherwise. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. please hep me remember so I turn jet clockwise to lean it out?

Some days the seat time is shorter than others. After one pass on the 106 with 38" deck the belt slipped off the mule drive. Once I got that back on the PTO seemed to be out of whack. After an adjustment on the rod the spindles seemed to be humming perfectly. I made another go around and when I...

I have found some new math. Take one 20 minute job (PTO clutch),Add 5 minutes for every year it sat in the rain and rusted. 2 hours for deciding to repaint it while its off. 2 more hours when you decide you cant put that new PTO on an old dirty engine and decide to powerwash it. 4 more hours for...

I see where the confusion lies. I should have said they screw onto the tie rod not spindle.

Houtz's site has better picture. And indeed I see that they are just like my old ones. Thanks for your input.

Ok, I may be crazy but when I look at the picture of 723-3000 tie rod ends on the sponsor web sites it looks like they are solid on the end where as mine screw onto the spindle. Are my eyes decieving me.

I know someone out there has posted a picture of a brinly plow setup before. Just can't seem to find a decent one on the search. Can anyone help me get an idea of how this thing is supposed to go on?

Snuck out in the dark and fired up my 106 just to hear it run. Noticed sparking coming from muffler. Would that be timing or fuel mixture?

Regarding the "homemade" muffler setup Dbailey has a picture of. I have an old workhorse with 1" black pipe coming out of the block just like he does. Do I run the risk of damaging my engine from heat build up. Black pipe elbow is much thicker than orig elbow and seems it would retain more heat...

I have gone past losing my mind. Last week i talked about the #26 carb leaking on my 106. I repaced the needle, seat, float, fuel filter, adjusted per specs. still leaking out of the nozzle air bleed.Ajusted float further down, still leaking. If bowl vent was plugged could this really cause...
