Michael Wells, The Cadet 95 Electric (not Cub Cadet) was built in 1974 (s/n 7501 - 8922) & 1975 (s/n 8923 - 10880). Depending on condition it could be a great show piece, though some parts may be hard to come by.

Dan L, Make sure you don't have the drag link and tie rod reversed. Seems like their different lengths.

Herb, A good explanation by Roland. In short, the current required to spin a starter would "fry" an ignition switch so it's passed through the solenoid instead.

Bill G, Try wrapping the knob with a piece of leather or thick rubber (to protect the knob) and use vice-grips or channel-lock pliers to loosen it. (Message edited by cholloway on January 03, 2005)

Zach, Unless I'm missing something from your photo... The "front wheel tilt" is called camber. That angle is built-in and required for proper tracking. And, as Ken already pointed out, the bare wire on the V/R is a braided (usually copper) ground strap and is normal. (Message edited...

Dave K, Good to see Loader-Mutt out playing. Nice job on it. Now you just gotta tear it down, repaint everything, put it all back together and save it for Shows and Parades... Yeah, right!

I can't speak on the SGT blades, but it seems the 54" blade has a square bracket also.

Bill G. & Kraig, The lift bracket is different lengths between a NF and a WF setup also. I've seen a NF bracket extended with a piece of flat metal to make the lift arm work on a WF. Bill, your name sounds very familiar... You ever spend time around Oak Ridge???

The service manual diagram I posted and Richard C's pics don't look anything alike... go figure. A picture IS worth a bunch of anything else!
