    LT1018 slow cranking on start

    My LT1018 cranks very slowly when attempting to start - one rotation per second. If I remove the spark plug the engine turns over normally. I have fitted a new battery and spark plug. There is a fuel supply and the spark is strong too. The previous owner had given up and asked me to take it...
