    1450 PTO switch

I know it's on here and I apologize for repeating someone else's question but I am unable find the info I'm looking for. The PTO on my 1450 is not working. I thought I would start by troubleshooting the switch. Could someone tell me where to find the info for that? Thanks in advance Scott

Setting points gap on my 1450

It's been a while since I have been on here. I notice some changes to the site. I'm looking for info on setting the points gap on my 1450. It seems to me I found it in the FAQ section before but I can't find it now. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks

The tractor is a 123. Not the original motor. I replaced it with a new one probably 20 years ago.

I used Matt G's method of static timing on my K301. After I gapped the points to .020 I was trying to locate the S mark on the flywheel but was unable to find it. I might not have been looking in the right place. Could someone post a pic of where the sight hole is located?

Winter is getting closer and that means dropping the mower deck and mounting the snow blower. I have a QA32 and a QA36. I was wondering if there is a difference between running them on my 123/127 or my 1250/1450. The last few years I have run them on the 1250 or the 1450 so I could use the...

Ryan, I own one of the sand trap rakes. But I don't own any sand traps so I haven't gotten much use out of it.

Thanks for the info guys. I kind of agree with the idea that the rear PTO is a novelty. I have thought about taking one of my extra mower decks to my local machine shop and have them turn it into a 3 point mounted rear mower. I'm sure they would be happy to do it for the right $$$$$$...

I have a 1450 with front hydraulics. I also have a 100 with a rear PTO. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what attachments were available to work with either of these two options. I have looked at the FAQ "What implements fit my cub cadet" but I didn't see anything.

Is it possible to take a 14 hp from a 147/9 and use it in 1450 by using parts from the motor that was in the 1450. Or are they two totally different motors? Scott

I just picked up a 1450 today, engine just spins over. Pulled the head, found out the piston is not moving. Dropped the oil pan, found rod in about 4 or 5 major pieces. I also noticed a chunk gone out of the bottom of the cylinder wall. My question is, how far down does the piston travel. I...
