For sale is a frame-up rebuilt IH 682 Cub Cadet (ser.# 2050593U686311) with the upgraded Kohler Magnum 18 engine. The(assumed)original hour meter (0-600 hr. range) reads 322, and the 18 M engine was installed around 2009 by previous owner. All metal components were stripped to bare metal...

Hello all. I finished rebuilding a 44C deck, and somehow have ended up with a spare NOS spindle assembly (Cub Cadet #759-3479). According to my research @ CC Specialties, this can be used on 38, 38A, 42, 44, 44A, 50, 50A, and 50C decks as well. It is surplus, and I just need to find it a good...

Scott, I also plan to recheck the gap on the PTO. I recall having already done it when I was cleaning and painting the engine, but am still going to recheck it, Steve

Another question. Right now, the 682 has no belt around the PTO pulley. Is it typical that it free-wheel spins aafter engine shutdown, whether the PTO is engaged or not? Thanks. Steve

Well, good evening folks! First, I would like to extend my thanks to all who contributed to my inquiries about my 682 wiring issue. The good news is that the 682 is back in full functional mode. And more good news, nothing was damaged or fried due to the error. And lastly, the fix only ran...

Ken, That's also my interpretation of the wiring schematic. I will also be re-checking my wire connections at the new relay (and other places as well), and make sure they are all in their proper positions (closely spaced small spade terminals, weak eyes, and stubby fingers can lead to confusion!)

Ken, Thanks for the helpful reference. I actually have the M 18 service manual and apparently had a brain freeze on the section 8 diagnostics procedures - Well, duh-huh, "Read the directions"! That is a good jumping off point for the 'investigation'. I have no idea what the engine...

Kraig, Thanks for the hearty "welcome". The 682 has been a part time project, time (and $)permitting, so it has been a long process. But I think I see daylight at the end of the tunnel, and hope it's not the train! A quick update; the 'mystery switch' was indeed some sort of original...

Good morning. I inherited an IH 682 from my B.I.L., which had a replacement engine installed it, but the whole tractor was pretty rough and not operational when I got it. I am closing in on the finishing touches of the frame up rebuild. Here are the stats for the present situation...
