Thanks for the advice, was able to remove the switch between the gas tank and dash, used a remote w key on, got same results...Also did try another switch known to be good, did not remove switch from the other 1250 that starts and runs as should...Yes when cranking does not seem to attempt to...- kcrews

Unsure of year, 1250 that back fires violently when letting off of the key, (voltage drops to zero when cranking) then 12+volts as releasing the key from crank mode, will start at times..Is my Uncle's, he lives 175 miles or so away and is 81. He has a running 1250.So I am going there again and...- kcrews

Ignition bizarre
Not sure if a 1250 belongs in this forum?, sorry if not...It is my Uncle's. Problem is when cranking to start, voltage drops to zero on coil, let off the switch then it may start or back fire violently. Have tried known good switch from another,same situation. I have been looking for a hydraulic schematic concerning 149 or 1250 with a lift. Need a complete schematic, perhaps it has been deleted as was a wanted item, so am putting it in this forum....I will pay for if COMPLETE thanks Ken- kcrews
