Speaking of axles, I just noticed this on the Tecumseh website: Transaxle Recall Also: Fuel Line Recall Not to stir the fire up or anything but if you know someone with one of these machines, let them know... I think that the thing that bugged me about Tecumsehs was that I was just used...

That was the response I was expecting... No, I'm not a great fan of recent Tecumsehs myself. Just pointing out that the kit is available and the engine is half the weight. But, if someone did want to disrespect the Cub Cadet name I suppose it wouldn't be a bad engine to power that 10KW...

Anybody check out the OHV Tecumseh conversion kit offered through my previous post? Funny to see that it is about half the weight of the Kohler.

ROBERT Adding to what Dennis said, I don't know if any of the forum sponsors have anything to offer but it might be worth checking out. Here are some links to a place that seems to have some options for re-powering: smallenginewarehouse.com Cub Cadet 125 Kohler K301 Pretty sure the 125 is...

    Older Troy-Bilt Cultivator

I know, that's what makes this so wild. The rear wheels are thin, spoke type wheels that you might find on a garden cart. The unit is in good shape and it clearly states that is is a Troy-Bilt Cultivator. Like I said, I'm kicking myself now for not taking pictures.

And zoomed it right by the classifieds... Was that for me? Why? I was hoping to get more discussion going about this hitch on the newer models and the CCC section seemed like the right spot?

    Older Troy-Bilt Cultivator

Met a guy that had an older model Troy-Bilt Cultivator that was pretty interesting. It looks like a front tine tiller but the tines have a narrow width (about 16"?) and are extended pretty far forward from the rear wheels compared to regular front tine tillers. The rear wheels are large...

Hey Aaron, I copied your Xtreme hitch pic over to the CCC section for further chat. Nice tool boxes. Both of them. Great ideas.

    Aaron's Xtreme Hitch

Saw that Aaron had posted a new pic of his Xtreme hitch and I wanted to have the same picture in this section for further discussion. Excellent work, they look great. Aaron or anybody else, Could you explain why the bottom holes are slotted instead of bing full holes? My rear end...

Cub Cadet 1641 GT replacement engine

There are sites on the net that can be found by searching for "small engine repower". Here are two possibilities: smallenginewarehouse.com jimsrepairjimstractors.com I don't have any experience using these places, maybe someone else here does.

Thanks for the warning Kendell. I'll post any further progress in the CCC / MTD section then... No one wants to enlighten me on sleeve vs. 3pt.???
