    Folks, I have a problem that will concern all of us in time. I rebuild a lot of steering assemblies for the Cubs with the Ross units. MTD has them also.Some of you may know the old style bearing cups are NLA. At least not to me as my dealer gets me the new style that really fit in the 703-1085...

I then read the manual & saw where I have to remove / slide the motor forward.It didn't make any sense to me why it wouldn't just come out with the tractor split but it will not.     lee, The little 7 HP is all cast iron. Just the lights and what a good bead blasting will do to a block. I bead blast all my blocks, love the look!!!! G.L.

    Help me out on this as I had thought the serial # only told when it was made not the model # Tim G: Kraig just reminded me that the Kind/Code/Serial number on that little ole tag on the left rear will tell exactly which model it originally was... G.L.
