Thanks guys. Jeff, I didn't even know they made a #109. Thought they started at #129. Bill those K341's were also used on JD model 300's from 1975-1978. Then they were renamed 316's until 1982 I think. Great engines. I have 4 of them. 3 in 300's. True beasts! Just remember JD used and...

Ok, here she is home for the first time, ain't she PURDY'! Picked it up yesterday (5 hours of driving) for $200, which I thought was a good price. She is missing the gas tank assembly, the motor was loose and the driveshaft drift pin broken (at flywheel flange). It looks like a replacement...

Having trouble posting pictures. I am using my new kindle fire and I cannot find an app that allows me to RESIZE photos the right way so I can just tell it to make photo under 100 KB of memory . Does it also need to be under 640x480 size? Thanks.......Ed.

Ok, very excited here! I just won me a Cub Cadet 149 for $250! Looks decent from pics' but carb' and air cleaner missing. Hopefully engine is okay and mower deck. I do have a few engines that may be okay if not. I know I have an air cleaner. Supposedly it turns over. I know VERY...

I noticed the other day that the PTO clutch does not seem to disengage. It always spins and makes no difference if you move the pto lever. I guess it has to be rebuilt.....

CUB CADET PAINT - has anyone found rattle can paint that comes close to CC yellow or more importantly white? I would use the CC paint but its like 4 time's the cost of Krylon. Plus not nearly as available when I need it. I think I used to use Krylon antique white on tractor parts but...

Thanks Matt for the voltage reg info. I did wind up using the JD older style 4 post regulator. I think I have the side of the on/off switch to the coil hooked up to the "L " right now. Figured that was a load running the ignition. Guess I will remove it and see what happens. GAS TANKS -...

Well I got 'er runnin'! That wiring info was what I needed thanks! She runs pretty good but the points arc off to the side. Also coughs a puff of smoke once in a while. Maybe a breather issue? The brake pads are toast. Read something about using Chevy S -10 pads or buying pad lining...

Thanks Dennis, glad to be here. I did check out that diagram for the 108 but one of the problems is that my V-R is a labeled a little different. Mine is F, BAT, L, on each of the side terminals and underneath is an isolated terminal marked 12v n/p? I am assuming F = field, which should...

Ok, new guy to the cub cadet forum here so a little unfamiliar with the site and cubs. This site seems great so far by the way! Been a big JD garden tractor guy with the WFM forum the last almost 10 years. I had a 1250 CUB 20 years ago which I always liked (and sorry I sold) and wanted...
