BELT help. I have a good old cub cadet 1250. I cant seem to find a mower V belt for the 44a mower deck. I believe it is called PTO belt the one that goes from the engine to the mower deck to power it. any help??? Lowes cant seem to find it for me hehehee.

yes I do have another plug to try. I have tried starting it and immediatly pulling the current plug out and it is wet and smelling like gas. I guess I will try another new plug. any reason why the plug would be wet?

should the spark plug be wet and smelling like gas after attempting to start?

Kweaver actually I do not have a spark tester. I did ground it and got spark.

Matt Gonitzke (Mgonitzke), Yes the points gab is correct I have it set at .018. on top dead center on the motor. no I do not have a service manual from the kohler web site. I actually cold not find on on it for my 12 hp motor. I guess I will have to look harder.

Frank A. Currier(Northern Maine) (Fcurrier), actually it has a brand new spark plug in it. the plug is getting fire (grounded it). When I take the plug out after trying to start it yes it is wet. It seems like a few people here believe it is the carb. or timing.
