What can I soak them in from the top? Can anything get by those or can I use pb blaster?

Mine definitely doesn't look like that!! Super clean but seized up, so I would need to get new O rings and washers before removing or can I use the existing ones and clean well? Would this cause mine to not move and have no hydros?

So I can remove the large bolts that they are in the center of? These would cause the tractor to not move and no hydraulics? I know it is a release but didn't think I would lose forward and reverse and hydros

The hydro release valves ARE stuck down!! Thought they would pop up once I got hydraulic pressure in there though, how can I get them to pop back up?

It seemed like it was set correctly, I will check it tonight just don't want to lose my last wear button, it obviously worked for a bit as the set screw holes were not lined up with slots in basket anymore, thanks

I got the Pto rebuilt from somebody so I didn't have the tool to check gap but it looked right, would that cause this? I can upload pics later when I get home from work..

Hey folks, just put my rebuilt PTO on my cub 149 disengaged it and everything seemed to work as it should, fired her up and when I disengaged it it shredded the wear button, at a loss for what could be wrong....

Thanks so much guys, I have been reading non stop so I am aware of the 6 set screws and how difficult they might be, and it always seems if I attempt something, it will probably be difficult!! This forum is the best and I appreciate all the info, looking forward to getting after the PTO, figure...

The one throw out lever is loose so I have to remove to tighten from the back nut, correct? So I'm just thinking if I have to remove it why not rebuild it? Unless there is a way to tighten that throw out lever without removing, thanks for all the help!!

The wear button on the lever was completely worn, I already used a punch and removed it, was thinking I should just order rebuild kit and take care of it all while I have it removed, wondering if I shouldn't replace throw out levers as well since the one isn't lined up in center anymore...
