this first one is of a big hemp operation in WI in the '40s.

Oh ya a hemp turning tool in Iowa. I think IH was thinking abuot purchasing this tool -- or coopting it. Anyway hemp stalks need to rot for a while and to get even rotting (retting) you need to turn the windrows which is a real chore by hand.
