Hi Guys,

I'm further working on the 169 and just wondering if this is how the grille springs are suppose to attach? I don't see any wear in this area from a previous spring. Is there something missing or broken? The grille insert was held in with bolts and nylon lock nuts.

Also, has anyone painted one of these before? I don't know if it's plastic or some kind of fiber glass material. Have you used a paint meant for plastics or have you used the IH black paint? Maybe some adhesion promoter?

Thanks!

Jim

looks good to me !

I believe you need to turn it to the 9 O'clock position so the hook catches down in the square depression in the grille.
The grille is some type of plastic composite material.
