Time for a strip down and back to cub’s first hydrostatic . The way is supposed to look. Complete with total k301 rebuild from I save tractors kit, can’t go wrong.. Will have the right paint from Napa , and stickers, sandblasting everything including hydraulic pump…

Not a good Idea to sandblast the pump and/or the hydro.
You will wind up with sand stuck in every nook and cranny where there is any grease or oil dried up. and stiff bristle parts cleaner brush and air pressure.

Best bet is to use parts cleaner or mineral spirits.
Power washer used with care to avoid areas around seals and shafts.
Don't paint the fins on the hydro.

Thanks
Much for the info I appreciate it, I also have a large ultrasonic cleaner I might be better luck to use do you think?

Hey Johnny - nice combination 123 with the hydraulic lift option. Don't see that often.

Also noticed you're a fairly new member. The 123 is a full blown (and top of the line at it's time) IHCC Garden Tractor. It's not a Cadet lawn tractor so you should really post in the main Forum thread. You'll probably be surprised with all the responses you get.

Here's a link to the FAQs that you might also find very helpful.
