The biggest Cub Cadet garden tractor?

What I have seen so far from the posts - 1. International Cub Cadet manual says nothing about WOT?
2. An unknown deck manufacturer for an unknown GT or LT says WOT for best results for cutting grass.
3. Kohler engine manual for some International Cub Cadets says 80% throttle is recommended.
I see a pattern of conflicting recommendations, none are probably wrong, all under the right circumstances could be right. We are all not commenting on the same tractor (International), engine (single cylinder Kohler), deck or mowing conditions. So, "correct" answers will vary widely.

The laws of physics apply regardless of brand model, conditions, etc...

Just tallied up how many times I mowed with the 982 between 2010 and 2015, I deleted the couple times I mowed with the 70 & 72, 61 times in 6 years. Typically took 4-1/2 hours to mow the 2-3/10's acres, lots and lots of trimming! So saying I put 4-1/2 hours on each mowing that Ccounts for 275 of the hours on the hour meter. I know the last 2-3 years I used the 982 it would start sputtering and new plugs, new plug wires, carb adjustments didn't help, just a new set of points and a condensor. I'M sure Onan parts have NOT got cheaper but they were $165 from The Cummins Engine parts shop in Minneapolis, Mn. I replaced them twice in consecutive years and bought the Tank.
The B48G engine is out of production, not sure who makes rebuild parts, but like Kohler parts they are stupidly expensive. I'll run my 982 till it needs points & condensor and then it's going, going, GONE! If a Kawasaki engine was an easy bolt -in I'd do that, but it's not that easy.
Since I've been on IHCC.Com we've discussed operating temp, over-heating, lugging, running wide open about 100 times. The MOST KNOWLEGIBLE of US, Dave Kirk knows the relationship on air cooled engines and rpm and engine temp. I'm sure he's done hours and hours of dyno pulls. I've even discussed putting guages on my K321 in my #72, head temp, oil temp, EGT, RPM. Maybe someday! Last time I checked there wasn't enough dash space for that many guages.

Looking at a 2182 with a 3 point hitch. Going to use a box blade to move some stone and dirt. Without a hi/low transmission, will this tractor be able to move a decent amount of material. Has the Kubota engine. Thanks

Put it this way, does the tractor have enough low end torque without bogging down quickly under load without a low gear option? The Simplicity Legacy is similar and offers a hi/low option. Differential locks certainly help traction as well.

I’d think you’ll run out of traction before running out of torque. A Cub ain’t a Cat dozer, but they’re capable for their size.

Not that it is directly related to this thread but I will ask anyway.
When did IH get out of garden tractors? I really would have thought Cub Cadet would have been almost a core business. Certainly not a big division but a substantial one and with long time name recognition.

Way back then I was working traveling all over the country and just trying to make a living and feed the family. I didn't pay any attention to it then. Now I find myself being fascinated with keeping a few extra garden tractors around to use when the urge strikes. Much appreciated on the replies.
