I'm sand blasting some sheet metal parts from a rusty QA42A snow blower attachment. I plan on putting replacement decals on because the old ones look pretty beat up. Other than grinding what's the simplest way to get the old decal off? The sand blaster hardly makes a dent in it. A knife blade just slides across it.

Take a hair dryer and heat from the back side first, then a little on the front and they will come right off using and old credit card.
