For any of you SO76 owners whose factory seat is beginning to look rough--as mine was--here is one solution. I sent it to the Speer Cushion Company in Holyoke, Colorado, and they rebuilt it. I'm happy with it, although it's not an exact reproduction of the factory seat. It's close, and certainly looks better than what I sent them.

Steve, I too had the same problem. However mine was "reupholstered" by the PPO. I was able to use a black seat off a 382 I parted. To take care of the black part I located I vinyl paint and simply painted my whole seat, pan and all with it. That was a year ago and I've had no problems yet.
