What is a reason why you wouldn't?Gearbox on those blowers uses bentonite grease, but I have heard of guys using corn head grease. But I wouldn't in mine.
Yes it's the tensioner for the bottom pulley should be a spring attached
Mainly because I'm not smarter than the people that designed it and there's no reason to change something that's worked for 20+ years. Plus the fact that bentonite doesn't break down as fast when it heats up.What is a reason why you wouldn't?
Put what you want in it, it's yours to do with what you want.Fair enough.
I will guarantee that the Corn Head grease will do the job much better than that used up slop that was in there.

Bentonite..... That's clay
You got that right! When your snow gets a little on the wet side you'll be yanking that off!!
Give it a shot and then you'll know if it works for ya not.So everything i did the last 2 days was wrong, sweet.
Oh, I know. When working on my manager pond, I added many bags to a slightly porous dam. I went down hard a fee times. I thought it a bit gritty for a gearbox application.Yes, and it's used for well drilling too. It's get slippery when wet.
