Like mfrade mentioned, I would look at the wiring real close, carefully so you don't disturb to much. Could be as simple as a wire terminal broke off or slide off the connection. Good luck.
 
Hello, I also had a fuse holder melt this summer. Pick up a replacement at Advance and good to go. The contacts can get dirty and cause overheat. This fuse was near the battery between dash and engine on 1863.
 
I also replaced the fuse holder in my 2084. Appears to be a fairly common issue. I put a nice sealed one on and did the connections up with heat shrink and all that
