In my area the postal employees deliver most of the packages. They deliver packages early A M then deliver mail by noon and after.

I filed a ethics complaint yesterday with the post master general. Even if I never get another package delivered, the person doing the investigation should be honest. This person told me that he would come out and see if there was something we could work out and 15 minutes later I got a email saying we’re glad the problem was resolved. He had no intention of coming to see me.

Well just got this message. So we’ll see what happens next.

Gee I have found my mail carrier to be great. She is a real hustler. If she can not get a package in the box, she delivers right to the front porch. I have a narrow 800’ driveway with turn around circle.

My post office is ten miles way. Everyone is friendly and helpful. One thing notice lately is UPS and other carriers are dropping packages off at my post office for finally delivery to my home.

Another thing is tipping my mail person at Xmas for all the packages delivered over the year.

Are you rural? I hope everything works out for you.

You have a good mail carrier for sure.
My mail carrier can fit almost any package inside my mail box! :roflol:
I haven't received any mail for about 3 days, maybe today is my lucky day. :errrr:

Well the problem goes on apparently Amazon has more pull than eBay, they delivered a Amazon package my daughter had sent to me one day the next day She and I both were denied service, while delivery was made to my friend. Got a email at 8:45 am that stated no secure location, but the 3849 form wasn’t placed in my mailbox till 2:30 pm and didn’t have a reason marked for non delivery?Filled yet another complaint.

Thats more then I can say for my new mail carrier, she now has a new USPS provided vehicle. More $$$$

One package they denied was a present for my granddaughter her birthday was Sunday and she was denied a birthday present from the post office sad. They can screw with me all the want but don’t mess with my grandkids

Donny - geez I hope you get some help and do get your delivery service again. However, when you catch this quasi-Gov't agency breaking their own rules they very likely will change the rules.

I'd also like to add that it was a couple decades ago when I had a friend of a friend that worked for the USPS. At that time he claimed the Post Office never looses anything. It may just take some time to show up. Fast forward to current and I'd like to know where a set of my son's IH wheel weights ended up? And a couple Creepers another time. I have to admit I've never had these problems with packages thru UPS or FedEx. I wonder if it's time to completely get the Gov't fingers out of the Post Office?
HARRY - I actually worked as a UPS delivery driver back in 1978, in the Illinois Quad-City area, home of places like International Harvester, two plants for them, and Some company called Deare? must have been 6-8 delivery addresses for them. Anyhow, about 1988 I moved my employer from Betterdorf, Iowa to our new plant in downtown MOLINE, Ill. I was in purchasing, I had a custom bolt manufacturing company box up two boxes, about 50 pcs of really big bolts I ran out of and ship them UPS from ALSIP, Ill, a Chicago suburb, to Moline, about a 3 hour drive. I had a customer waiting for some of these bolts. The company shipped the 500 pcs via truck, they came in next day. I almost forgot about the two boxes, almost 2 months later my phone rings, his the Dock guy who recieves UPS, asks if I need a good laugh, come out to the dock. Sitting on the floor of the UPS truck are two scroungy dirty boxes, almost looked like they drug them the 175 miles from Chicago to Moline, could barely read the address label, should have been handwriting on the box about where the two boxes were mis-delivered to, but couldn''t see anything thru the dirt.

Dennis - maybe I missed it or don't understand. One place you say "500 pcs via truck, they came in next day", and then at the end you say at the end almost 2 months later your phone rings.... two boxes mis-delivered.... Do you really mean they did "NOT" come in the next day and you forgot about them until 2 months later???

Donny - I certainly hope you get some kind of satisfaction with your complaints. The USPS is just wrong.

I’ve been running this thing through my mind wondering why? I realize now that my packages stopped about election time? Was it my Trump sign? Who knows but they still deliver to my neighbor a Democrat. lol I think I got canceled by the postal service.

Well I now have a new PO Box, different zip code but I can drive to it and back home it half the distance. But I just can’t resist chasing them once more around the parking lot lol

USPS is hiring nationwide, Veterans and families get preference

There may not be a stoplight in your hometown, but there’s a United States Postal Service® (USPS) post office. Post offices become the hub of many communities because they are reliable. It’s comforting that “neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night” will prevent letter carriers from delivering the mail. This dedication to mission is something Veterans hold dear as well.
USPS Hiring Veterans
That’s why USPS is specifically reaching out to Veterans as they staff up. USPS has a long history of providing career opportunities to those who’ve previously served and values the leadership, reliability, and high-tech skills Veterans can bring, as well as their loyalty, leadership, reliability, and integrity.
Nearly 100,000 Veterans currently work for USPS and more than 100,000 positions are available across the nation such as:
  • City and rural postal carriers
  • City carrier assistants
  • Tractor trailer operators
  • Sales and support
  • Mail processors
  • Mail handler assistants
These positions are available full time, or just on weekends and holidays.
Veterans, disabled Veterans, Reservists, spouses of disabled Veterans, widows or widowers of Veterans and mothers of Veterans all receive special preference for these USPS positions.

Guess my local postal service had get in another swipe at me. I have a PO Box now had my mail forwarded to but they returned one of my power bills stating it was undeliverable? But forwarded my other to PO Box? So we will see if my renters get there power turned off. And delivered my boat registration to my mail box yesterday two weeks after forwarding my mail ? Don’t know for sure if their incompetent or just deliberately using their power to mess with me. Ether one are disappointing. I thought it was a federal crime to mess with mail even for postal employees?

Our local PO is in shut down mode. Claim the building (rented) is under going needed repairs and updates. Carriers still route sort theii mail their and those with PO Boxes still get their mail their mail in the boxes. Everything else is moved 30 miles away to the next town. That town gets their mail out of Omaha, NE where ours comes out of Des Moines, Iowa. Go figure.
