NOS Kohler K341 short block, spec number 4552238. This should fit a 169, it has a 3" PTO crankshaft end and if you search the forum that spec number comes up in a discussion of 169 engine spec numbers. I used to be able to pull that spec number up on Kohler's web site and it said International, but it wouldn't let me yesterday when I tried. Comes with a gasket set and the side mount dipstick. This has been sitting for close to 30 years, so it really needs to be cleaned an re-lubed if you are going to use it. There is a little surface rust on the PTO end of the crankshaft and block face right below that (see pictures). I can email higher resolution pictures if you like. This has been on my shelf for close to 10 years, time to let it go. Asking $500 which is about what I have in it. I would prefer not to ship this, the box is not in great shape and it's heavy. Pick it up in Hammond WI, or I may be willing to drive a couple hours to meet up if that helps someone out. -Brian

Brian - that sure is a nice looking short block. I see a plug on the side of the block with the S/G holes (so it could also get a shoulder mount dipstick), and I also see 4 holes on the crankshaft output side (so it could have an electric PTO), so besides a 169 this block could be used in a 1650.
NICE!!!!

I always thought the PTO end on the Quietlines was a little longer than 3 inches, but I can't say I've ever really worked on those.
