wondering the big diff if any between the WF and NF front axle and spindels.. ?
i have a 149. missing spindels. i have 125 and 127 rollers. why dont i walk out and look. its to cold outside lol ...
end game to get the ole 149 back up and running.. maybe.... the hydrolics still work or did last summer.. lol u know when parked it ran type deal lol..
no big project. just gettin it back up and running for tilling and such bein the hydrolics on it.

Axles are totally different in the spindle/knuckle dept.
NF uses NF knuckles and WF's use WF knuckles
Quiet line knuckles will interchange with your 149 though.
What size do you want, 1"" or 3/4"

if by size. your askin on the axle side of the spindel. not sure. as i like to stay in the standard ? size. as i have front wheels for the NF sizes. ill have to check them to see.. i think the axle is still on it.. ill have to check when the rain stops.
next nice day i think ill pull her from the weeds and get her on blocks to get a parts run down. for winter hunting

I think this came up in another thread, and the offsets are different NF vs WF as well. Harry can fill us in.

NF wheels were 3/4" as were SOME WF's
QL's were both 3/4" or 1" depending on the SN break.
ill have to check whats left on the front end. there is a local guy who has a few cubs i think he has a 149 also. if so might grab it. he is a stack n pack in the weeds type of guy with mowers. i know there was a few 127s and a 125. but not remember if 149 or any QLs.

A narrow frame axle, spindles and wheels will fit onto a wide frame chassis. Here's my parts 149 chassis with it's original axle and spindles, one spindle has obvious damage:

so the steering arm on the left looking at pic. clears the frame ok ? even with a bolt in the mule ? i know on the NF its close about 1/2 to maybe 3/4 inch away ..

Good point, that’s just a parts tractor that has not moved since I swapped out the axles. It could very well have interference.

now i know why the 127s and 147s 125s wont fit lol . there a C spindle.
guess iam looking for part number
6 - IH-544212-R1
7 - IH-544217-R1
9x2 . 710-3020 and nuts for them
if anyone has some used ones. for fair price would be cool

Again, what size knuckles do you need?
1" or 3/4"
Bolts and nut can be had at any hardware store.
Get fine thread with long enough shank, castle nuts and drill the end of the bolt for cotter pins.
These bolts need to be torqued down tight on the spacers, part #8, so they turn in concert with the knuckle and bolt inside the axle when tight.
Make sure the grease passages at the bottom of the axle proper are present and clean.
Make sure the spacers are clean and slide easily and turn in the axle.

1 or 3/4 inch for the wheel side ? no idea .. whatever 127 47 wheels are. there all i have. this was in a pile of 3 i picked up the family did pulling so it was motor donor. and i guess the knuckles. grrr lol..
ill check wheel side of spindles.size tommorow
the spacers are flat to the housing. so ill need to get some made up with a few xtra 1000s on them .

let me ask ya... this 149 is a basket case. no motor rough shape. ill try and toss pic up sunday...
my end game is this.. the hydro lift ... i have a 127 roller. in much better shape. but not much lol ...
not to worried for looks persay so on. i need it for working on homested. liftin tiller so on ..

not to sure on what is what ya know what i mean.. if its fairly easy to covert the 127 roller to hydro lift. i have a 321 to drop in it so should be enough power to run it.

Your NF wheels are more than likely 3/4" then so you will need 3/4" knuckles.
If you are going to use a WF axle, you must use the knuckle for it.
What you call "spindles" from a NF axle will not work in a WF axle as they are not tall enough.

theres the I Beam. and the poor ole girl. rough looking. hard nite out on town. i do have grill and hood.

sterring shaft needs replacing. its bent on top. housing seems ok. lil odds and ends. hydrilics worked when ran on drill.
now i just have to figure out but probley does. 125 or 127 steering shaft fits.
not a paint resto. a working resto is all it will be
just noticed from photo top of pump fluid on rite side valve. not sure if it is hydro oil or water from the seat. its been outside for 3 years.
