Hello all! As the title says I'm new here! Just recently picked up a cub cadet. I'm not sure what year or model it is. I do know it's a hydro not gear. The model number is 213110. It has a 48" cutter deck serial number 482 u 1113. Any help with this would be great! Thanks

Is there a serial number plate? If so what is the serial number?

The one is of the tag on the rear of the tractor the other is on the deck

It was built in September of 1967. Seeing that you can post photos how about one of the tractor. It's Probably either a 105 or a 125. A 105 would be a 10hp a 125 would be a 12hp. Seeing that it has a 48" mower deck, I'd say it's more likely to be the 125.

This is what I've got. The engine tag is painted over. Do u know if the numbers are stamped in it or painted?

Whoa, that's actually a 123! Which is the first Cub Cadet model with a Hydrostatic transmission. It has a 12hp Kohler. My bad, I misread the S/N Chart.

Sweet! Thanks my grandfather had given me one when i was a kid and it had gotten burned up in a building fire. I have his 127 but its basically a parts tractor. This one has had the front axle swapped out so I'm going to take the one from the 127 and put in this one.

Now that you mention it, that appears to be an axle from an Original. Can you post a photo of it that shows the spindles and more of the axle detail? I'm just curious. Thanks.

The 123 is a great place to get started - even if Kraig says the update to the 125 is where PERFECTION was achieved. Esva - I had to Google it to find out it isn't a foreign country. :) Please notice that when properly decaled the 123 has a crown! Glad you found this site (the only Cub Cadet site that I frequent) and wishing you well with your "new friend".

It curves down and seems to put the front of the tractor higher than the rear. Plus someone welded the steering linkage together. I'll try to get more pics of it tonight

Part of the 123 with its hydrostatic transmission's introduction to the world. :)

They don't picture well while on the tractor. :) I think you'll find that all the narrow frames from the 123 on up used the same front axle.

Here's a wide frame axle (top) and a narrow frame axle (bottom) your 123 is a narrow frame.

Here's an Original axle.

Just doesn't look right maybe it's just me.

Not sure what that is from, but I know it’s not from an IH Cub Cadet. Being red perhaps it’s from a Wheelhorse...?

Seeing that picture of the difference between the axles - guess I'm not the only one whose machine's PO let the mule drive idler eat into the axle. LOL
