Hi everybody. My name is Chris, I've been registered on the forum for several months now, but this is my 1st post. I've been doing alot of reading and looking at everyone's photos. I have a '68 104 with a K301 and a 42" mower deck. Had a front blade, but gave it away a few years ago before I realized what I had. What a dumb move, huh? I've had the 104 since 2004. Just uncovered it recently after 5 years stored in the shed. The 1996 repacement K301 runs like a champ. Paint is rough. Gone thru the transaxle. It was amazingly clean except for the cruddy buildup in the axle carriers ,etc. Bearings are good, gears look good.Must have had Hy- tran in it cuz there was no rust. New axle seals, brake pucks and o-ring.Good to go for another 40 yrs. Cleaning and sanding for a quickie paint job. On a real tight budget. Try to get some photos on in the near future. Y'all have a good day. Chris
