Hi all. I just bought a 169 and a few attachments so if its cool with yall im gonna hang out here a bit. Im hoping to make some tractor friends.

It appears everything has been used very little, and kept indoors. Real nice!

Thank you. I'm in south Stafford. I'm just getting my head around what I bought. The 169 is apart. Steering shaft removed and tie rods removed. All the parts are here but it def need some work. I need to find the service manual for it and all my attachment. I probably overpaid but I needed a small tractor for the house I just bought. It's sitting on 4 acres and I have big plans for my yard. Couldn't afford a new one and this thing is very cool. Im excited to get it going.

Welcome to the forum. Not for nothing I would ditch the chains, IMO, they just get in the way of proper action of the AG tires. If you intend to plow snow then 'back porch' weight is a must. Search the net for suitcase weights, at least 100 lbs., they will fit right on your rear hitch and make the moldboard plow way more effective. Advise you to skip wheel weights, a flaming nuisance.

Looks like a neat project. Nice variety of attachments. Everyone has an opinion but I like chains for snow work tho I agree that ag tires seem to need them less. Weights again are personal preference I don't think wheel weights are that bad to put on but can see how they would be an inconvenience in some situations. They are perfect for a mold board plow as that is a dirt tillage tool mounted on the back to plow gardens ect. Rear weights on the hitch would not work in that situation. Either weight set up would work for the front mount snow blade that some call a plow... that qa42a snow blower would be nice. They work pretty well in the right conditions in my opinion.

Good luck with your project. Looking forward to seeing it up and in use.

As far as spending too much, you haven't told us how much you shelled out yet. :errrr: If everything works, you have roughly $400 - $500 worth of accessories. As stated by others, you can look up the manuals on this site to see what is missing or misplaced for everything you have.
The chains would work better on turf tires for snow removal, but those new ags would be the best for plowing. The reason I say new ags, is because I can still see the "hairs" on the lugs.
I prefer wheel weights because they are pretty much out of the way. Weights on the rear lift along with the push blade on the front would put added stress on the hyd. lift.
As for the moldboard plow, you can adjust it to achieve your desired plowing depth. If the plow is adjusted correctly, you should have no problem with plowing. I have no issues plowing with my model 70, which is much lighter than yours, and only has the factory 26# weights on it.

Marty says chains work best on turf tires, true, but need be two link chains. Yours are four link; waaay back in the day I used them and there was a tendency to skip and mark up the driveway. I agree that suitcase weights would stress the hyd lift but with the lift active the wgts can be removed.
What would I do? Remove the chains and stick with those AG's (are terrific). Depending on your soil there may be no extra weight need for moldboard plow use. Also waaay back in the day I borrowed a moldboard plow for use with my 12hp Elec-Trak, no weights, manual lift, turf tires....no problem..And I live in the aptly named Rockland County. In winter, use the snowthrower; as you go along it will clear the driveway leaving plenty of traction for the AG's. Important to keep tire pressure 10-15psi, no more. So, buy nothing, see how it goes.
