Hey, I forgot to update you guys.

Yes, I had it bass akwards. After getting the cylinder hooked up right it did lift better, but not as good as I hoped. I felt I didn't need to adjust anything on the linkage on the deck because it worked fine on the 9. Well I adjusted it anyway as much as I could. See arrow to adjustment nut. Still it seemed to not go as high as the 9 so I looked and the undercarriage was hitting these tabs. So I thought I'll just get the saws-all out and cut them suckers off. Yeah, I know, I shouldn't have done that. After that the deck really didn't go any further up. It seems the left side comes up higher than the right side. I really didn't have time to mess with it so I just mowed with it as is. I'll mess with it later this next weekend.
Anything else I need to be checking? Is something bent on the tractor maybe? Is the 1572 different than the 982?

With no attachments installed, do the rockshaft arms go all the way up into the frame? How about with the deck installed?

If he's getting the deck to the brake shaft brackets then it cant go up any further. Spiroll pins are likely ok.

Shultzie,

Did your 982 have the same brand tires? There can be big differences in 26" tire height when mounted. This would effect lift.

What about the rear holes on the subframe to deck connection. Looks like there are several to choose from.....dropping to a lower hole would add lift even with subframe "bottomed" on brake brackets.

Steve,
That's what I think is weird. I took the same rims and tires off the 9 (front and back) and put on the diesel. I took the deck and mounting assy. off the 9 and left it adjusted just like it was figuring it would be the same.

Strange.

Did your 982 have dual brakes? If not, may not have had the same brake bracket interference......

circuit breaker goes to the right of the regulator where it is broke on an angle plastic to insulate it
