Just wondering if anyone is dabbling with equipping a shop with all LED lighting. I started in just looking to replace the bulbs in just in the ceiling sockets. There is so many to choose from. I would also like to have the 4'-8' shop lights. Would like to know what works and what don't. Thanks for any suggestions.

Randy, I guess you wandered around the internet checking LEDs. Here is a place I stopped at just to see whats out there. http://shop.ledwholesalers.com/ One can buy LED replacement bulbs for fluorscent lights !
I'm going to be watching here to see what others are going to do. For now, some of the prices are still kind of high for me.

Be careful with LED fixtures and bulbs they are not all created equal. For shop use it doesn't pay to go with LED fixtures and if you figure the wattage difference between a T8 lamp and a LED replacement lamp you only save 8-12 watts per lamp. Here are the 2 most common shop lights I used to sell.

I would pair these with a F32T8/SP41 GE lamp, or a F32T8/XL/SPX41/HL/ECO also GE, but high lumen output for a little more light with the same watts used. If you can, go to your local electric wholesale house they will usually sell to the public if you act like you know what you are after.
