I have an 1872 with the 60” Haban deck
It acts as if the belt is too long- I bought a belt 1” shorter and it was better briefly, but now acts like it’s too long again.
Any idea what I need to be looking at?
Mule drive pulleys look fine.
The deck pulley seems like it could be opening up. Is that something anyone has heard of?

Just curious, from what source did you buy these belts and what # belts??

This from the Cub Cadet parts look up site
954-3023
V-BELT .660 x 93.13
This part replaces 754-3023

The belt could be of a different material and is stretching or wearing quickly. For this application I would just get the correct cub cadet belt.

Yeah, I know it's expensive but you will be happy. ;)
