Dan's Cub Cadet 2000 Series (Model 2155) Help?

Where is the safety switch for the foot Brake? Below my Steering wheel I have 2 buttons. (1) Is for setting Cruise control. The 2nd button is to set the brake. I basically, call this button the emergency brake. This brake safety switch is out of adjustment. I need to some how adjust this switch. Anyone know where this switch is located? Is it under the Dash or near the foot brake? Last, can this switch be adjusted? In order to start the mower requires pushing down the foot brake to the floor to start. If I get off the seat while engine is running, engine dies. Foot brake switch is out of adjustment.

It is suppose to do that, you set the parking brake and start it and will stay running, once you release it and you get off the seat it will shut down the engine.
Or is it not doing that????
