Love it! Would like to know more about the power steering pump and control installation. Does that engine have enough power for it.

Can a power steering pump power a FEL?

Thanks guys... this is a mod I will do on the 108...

I’m not sure the press in studs will fit in from the back with the external brakes on your 108. I bought a set for my 129 but I’m not sure if I can use them. I haven’t checked yet.

The engine has plenty of power to run the pump. I actually shimmed the internal relief valve to around 700 psi to keep from slipping the belt. It would likely be too little flow to run a loader at a reasonable speed. You would also have to come up with a larger oil reservoir as it holds probably less than a quart. It has just enough capacity to run my lift cylinder and the 2x8 cylinder on my dump trailer.

Finished the yellow painting on Tuesday. Got the valve and levers and the other fender on today. Need to pick up some high temp paint for the muffler. I built a mini paint booth to spray any small pieces I may have overlooked, such as the lift pin for the rear lift. 149C960D-4127-4058-A5AB-C9E113D8EF43.jpegACCEA42A-432A-455B-8BEF-0DB68D678158.jpeg2624FD2F-058B-4F2F-BF95-E406C75E714B.jpeg0DCBFA44-E2A8-4E82-AFAA-032DEF1DA195.jpeg

Finished the wiring today. I added a taillight using a marker light that was on the fender. They were on the fenders when dad bought the tractor 40 yrs ago. If the other light wasn’t missing I probably would’ve put them back on the fenders. I also got the muffler and air cleaner on. Thanks guys!
All that’s left is to wet sand and buff the hood so I can get the hood ornament and decals on.
I also need to put on the front hydraulic couplers. I stole them for my 129 so I could run my dump trailer.

It runs!! It fired right up and runs great. I let it idle and cool down a couple times to finish curing the paint on the muffler. I drove it around the yard for a while to get it up to temp. Tomorrow, I’ll re-torque the head bolts and secure the gas tank with the straps. The carb adjustments meed checked as well as setting the max RPM and double checking the timing.

You're a brave soul... taking that out in broad daylight. You know, the chics....

That thing sure looks fine!

Thanks!

Don’t worry, I drove it around the back yard. Didn’t wanna take any chances and cause a local supermodel to wreck her Ferrari cause she was checking out my sweet ride. Lol

Beautiful work on your Cub Cadet 100. Thank you for sharing your photos and project progress. Well done!
