I have 1973-74 cub with a hydrostatic trans I’m have charging problems I have a new voltage regulator and I’m in the process of getting a new starter/generator if it still doesn’t charge what would be my next problem
 
Jump to the bottom of this thread ( mgonitzke) tells how to test the generator. If it goes to full charge during the test, then there is either a wire problem/ grounding problem / or requlator issue. Read the whole thread, it'll help I think. Charging issues
