Warm or cold? Obviously, make sure spark plugs are fresh and gapped to spec. Make sure the point and condenser are good. Make sure the choke closes all of the way. Compression will have an effect on starting, as does valve condition and adjustment.
If the gas is questionable drain it and the carb, is it an ongoing problem or did it just start giving you grief?
