My 1515 has the belt guide removed on the idler arm
and I have since been tearing belts regularly. I installed
a new belt guide and now the 1/4 inch mounting
nut on the bottom hits the lower arm
assembly and stops the tension spring
from pulling all the way.

How can this be?
There is 0 clearance between
the 2 arms.

Hi George, How about a picture showing us what you are experiencing?
