I'm looking at a 108, comes complete with deck and blade. Only asking $350. Is this a fair price for this tractor? Not sure of what year it is. Early 70's i assume. Thanks for the advice.

Billy-

Welcome to the forum.

I see this is your first post and the members here experience this all of the time. First of all, asking the forum about whether a price is fair is pretty much not allowed. We all seem to agree that if the price is what a person is willing to pay then...

Second, the 108 is a garden tractor and questions about it should be posted in the main forum.

I will say not many negative things are said about the 108 but that goes with most cubs. They're all very strong, dependable little tractors.

Billy and Wayne,
Asking if a certain amount for a tractor is worth buying it for is fine.

I think that's a fair price.. If it runs, drives, and mows/does whatever else you need it to well, with no major mechanical probjems, its more than worth it. Even if it has a blown motor, its worth that (probably) for the deck and the blade. Can't help you much more without more info.

Billy and Charlie-

I stand corrected yet once again...I'm so confused...WTH.

Billy-

I paid $250 for my 108 and the seller mowed his grass with it the day before. It was also upgraded to a 12hp K301 that runs like a sewing machine which made it bolt for bolt just like a 128. It was a good deal for sure and is one of my prized workers today.

I think you'd be satisfied with a 108 for $350 and I apologize again for my misinformation earlier. However, I think I was right about your needing to post about the 108 in the main forum. You just get more replies/response.

Thank you all. I will probably buy it. I've always wanted an old Cub, there reputation is remarkable. Thanks again!
