Sorry WAY new to Cub Cadets

CCC Cub Cadet Classic.. is that correct?
Is this the area I should be posting questions for my 782?
I was going to use the IH CUB CADET FORUM area but it states it's for Pre '81 machines.

Cub Cadet Corporation. This is the business unit MTD set-up in Brownsville TN when they bought Cub Cadet from IH. Fine tractors none the less.

TonyH it all depends on your serial number build date, some 782s can be posted in the main forum and others over here in ccc/mtd.
What is your serial number?

For what it is worth the early ccc/mtd 782 where the same as the IH models

IH final serial number for the 782 is
694248 anything after that is ccc/mtd

A little info from Hank Will's book:
IH production (of the 782) ended with serial number 694248 in April, 1981.

Ok I guess I belong here. I think my 782 serial number is in the 720000
