New Paint a little more yellow than existing paint on tractor. I used irongard federal yellow. New paint might be in the future for the 1512! Nothing fancy as this is a work machine but the fresh paint on loader makes the tractor look tired.

Other maintenance first. Will do hydro fluid and filter with full clean out. After doing the 1711, Driveshaft upgrade will also happen!

Thanks everyone!

Have only put a few minutes on the loader so far. Overall seems to work pretty well with the tractor hydraulics. Speed is good and will lift a full bucket of driveway mix. Hope to give it a good workout soon as I want a load of gravel for the driveway.

New seat arrived today from ccspecialties. Thanks digger!

It is running off the ported hydro pump on the tractor. So whatever that volume that is. I believe online I saw someone list it as 1-2 gpm.

If I were you I would get a dedicated pump. The charge pump on the hydro unit is not intended for anything other than a very intermittent load. At 800 psi it flows less than 1 GPM. Running a loader with it is likely to overheat the hydro unit and damage it.

Thanks for your advice! Was planning on adding a pump at some point just to allow easier use of existing hydraulics. When I activate the loader Hydraulic loop I can’t use the 3 point lift. This can be addressed with some replumbing of The entire hydraulics system but not a lot of extra space. Honestly would be easier to just add the pump and reservoir then to replumb. I am also interested in using the front hydraulic ports which is how the loader currently connects.

Whats a 5 gallon jug go for now days? The last one I purchased was about $75-$80 but that was 6 or 7 years ago.

$95.20 at the local Case tractor dealership. Called a couple dealers and everyone was the same.

Charlie,

That looks like a trans and engine oil change for the 1466 along with 2 new fan/alternator belts......

How'd I do?????

Separate pump mounted. Reservoir location all planned out. Drive belt and a few remaining fittings ordered. Hopefully this will wrap this up. I will post final photos once everything is mounted.

Wrapping this project up! Created a separate hydraulic system. This included adding a belt driven pump and reservoir. Everything came together today. The one remaining item is a skid plate to protect the pump and pulley. Once the skid plate is done I will work to clean up the location of hydraulic lines

The fun continues! I purchased a ton of wood pellets so I was able to test loader capacity on 40 lbs bags. While the loader at a hydraulic pressure of 750 psi will lift 400 lbs the rear wheels spin on grass. Rear tires are loaded and cast iron 75lbs on each wheel.

Seems like 280 lbs is a good weight for tractor with current rear weights.
