PINS KEEP BREAKING i PUT IN DIFFERENT SHAFT AND EITHER END COUPLERS AND STILL BREAKS PIN CHECKED RUN OUT ON FRONT ALUM PULLY LOOKS GOOD. TIRED ROLL PINS WITH A CLAMP AROUND STILL MO LUCK plzzzzzz HELP OPEN TO TRY ANYTHING.

I'm not sure what machine your referring to, BUT!
Roll pins or spirol pins will NOT work at the engine connection.
There's a reason why that one pin is different than the others.
It doesn't break unless something else is SERIOUSLY wrong in the drive line.

Oh yea, how bout taking your caps lock off.

O.K., Mike. (Now that you've taken your caps lock off) I'm taking it for granted that you're talking about your 109 that's in your profile. That pin does need to be solid - especially if you're running a tiller. It would make a good discussion, because if the driveshaft hole is so worn that it lets a 1/4" dowel pin slip through a larger pin would be needed BUT the drive cup slot is 1/4" and there's not much meat on the driveshaft. Aside from being aggravating, it can be downright dangerous (although interesting) when the pin breaks, you're going downhill, and your brakes don't work. I went to Fastenal and got some solid pins.

Under Edit: P.S. Welcome to the Forum. Getting back to taking it for granted that you're asking about a 109, it's a Garden Tractor and questions about it really should go into the Main Forum at the top of the list. Don't feel bad, someone's listed a 154 Low Boy on ebay as a lawn tractor and the only thing a Low Boy and a lawn tractor have in common is a belly mount mowing deck!

Would the rubber spacer or flexer be to tight and not alowing the shaft to move ? I hate to have to buy all new parts kinda pricy. I changed the shaft and front and rear connectors they are used but look good. It is a 129 hydro I am open for any ideas . thanks I am using dowel pins and it snaps them off with ease grrrrrrr .

Mike W.
Now that your telling us that it's a 129, get yer butt over to the main forum board and post!
A 129 ain't a lawn tractor!!!!!!
