Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - dang archive bug. Those are some great photos even if they did them just for a photo. The first one you posted shows a log with something written on the end but I can't make it out. It's just above the hind end of the horse in front. Can you let us know what it says?

Charlie's on VACATION!

I just placed an order and need the parts yesterday.

.

Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - I was kinda thinkin it might say "Eat at Joe's" but since it was in 1892 that phrase may not have existed.

Frank - I just knew it. Powered by Potatoes!!! Question - when does a spud turn into a potatoe?
fan.gif

And one more thing - what makes you think Charlie is on vacation? Since it's 1892 those logs are being moved out of the way so the farmers can get in there with some of their McCormick equipment, eventually use their IHC equipment in 1902, and ultimately in 1961 cut their green green grasses with an IHCC Original

Wayne - if it was yesterday you probably wouldn't need those parts.

Harry, I believe that SPUD and POTATO are synonymous. Thank you for the explanation of why Charlie's chosen not to squash our posts like they were potato bugs. Thanks, also, for your realization that in most parts of the country the trees had to be removed before crops could be planted. To get back on topic, maybe I'll start a new topic in the Sandbox. On second thought, it's already there under LEST WE FORGET.

Frank - I had thought them to be synonymous as well until I checked Wikipedia. It seems a spud is a small potato - and thus my question, when does a spud turn into a potato? (spelling corrected). I had figured that red 782 in your pic would be running on spuds and not potatoes, do mostly to their size. Do you use it to dig your potatoes?

682.
If a spud is a small potato, what's the definition of a large potato? We gots potatoes, youse got apples - (42% of apples grown in USA, last I looked, which was just now)>

Hi Frank

Hope your doing well. Speaking of potatoes, I had an economics professor while I was in college who was originally from Maine. He tried to explain all of the theories with POTATOES. Sometimes it made sense, other times it didn't.

We put out potatoes this year in our garden. Maybe I should start a topic in the sandbox for garden pics......

Charlie - you're right about one thing - the person with this tag line: "Charlie says I'm an INSTIGATOR"

Charlie's vacation was like mine.....short!

I hate to bring up the subject, but, can you plant "spuds" with this thing? LOL!

305356.jpg

I just had to put it on the 128 to see what it looked like.
Pardon the dirt on the wheels, but I have been plowing.
I am having trouble determining the model number of this planter. It doesn't look exactly like the ones I have seen.
Charlie probably has a dozen of these stashed somewhere!
lol.gif

Does anyone have pictures/adds of a planter mounted on a cub cadet?
I'd bet on Kraig having several.

Here's another pic.

Marty that looks good on the 128, Do you plan on making it work someday?

not to start the debate and we won't, but I wonder if a 1x9 is more suitable for the planter or will it not matter

Jeff,

Everything seems to be working properly on it.

If I can find out what type of seed wheel is in it, I may try that once.
Fertilizer to a planter is like termites to wood, so I won't put any of that in it.

I will probably take it all apart, sand it, prime, and paint as close to it's original looks as possible.
I may put it on one of my originals for show, depending on if they made the planter back then.
If not, It will go on a 100.

P.S. They made creeper gears ya know!!

Marty,That is a nice planter you have there.Didja only get one seed plate?

Now Frank C.,if it is red and you own it that means you own a red one!
I would think in Maine that blueberries are more popular than potatoes.
A spud is a spud but what do they call a small blueberry?

Possibly the KK-200
Whatever it is Looks Good on the 128 w/ Dirt on them tires!
