Rodney R- Filling the creeper can be simple. I use a 1 pint metal pump oil can with the 8 inch metal flex spout. Works like a charm!

creeper capacity is a 1/2 pint, btw. I change the oil every year, and whenever I change the transmission fluid. You may use IH recommended Hy-Tran Ultra in the creeper as well as Cub Cadet Gear lube.

I guess at shows someone can say "the hood alone cost more than the tractor"

I have a 109 with a QA36A snowblower. I am confused about the belt tension screw. I have the belt tightened, but when I run the blower the screw vibrates loose. The manual says its in the locking position if the the screw is parallel with the front mounting bracket. When I look at the manual and my setup, it all looks the same. What is it that I'm not understanding. Thanks for any help.

RANDY The vibration of your QA-36 when running is causing the hand wheel for the tensioner to back off.

You have to somehow tie or chain, or "Baling wire" the hand wheel so it can't turn.

Charlie,

How does that clip work? From the parts lookup, it looks like it fits on the pivot shaft. Between the two brackets? Is it rigid or a spring? How does it allow the belt to be adjusted and how does it then lock the adjuster?

I am just not getting how it works.
