I did bend the Kwik way on the Mt1800. But I had modified it for longer bucket cylinders...oops.

Tom-
Thanks for the info on your 169. I got it in the list, but as you can see, the engine serial number doesn't match up with the rest of them for a standard (1974) build. Are you sure that's the correct number?

Tom H - here's what Art is eluding to. The Kohler K-series Engine Service Manual has a chart that breaks down a serial number to identify the year an engine was built. In your case your serial Number 12059855 has 8 digits and according to the chart for 8 digit serial numbers, if the first 3 digits are 120 then your engine was built in 1982.

For your engine to have been built in 1974 when the 169 was built, the Kohler serial number should have 7 digits and the first digit has to be a 6 and the 2nd digit can be between 0 to 9. If you look at Art's chart again you'll see all the original engines have serial numbers beginning with the number 6 and the 2nd digit is from 1 to 3. In my case my engine is Serial No. 6272028 and 62 shows on the chart for 7 digit serial numbers as being built in 1974.

Harry - your spell checker/thesaurus needs it's 2,000,000 word overhaul. You may not be sure what I'm alluding to, but if it's still eluding you, wait, it'll come to you sooner or later.

Allen - you are correct - at my age, my brain can't tell allusions from illusions... I just had to tweak Harry - I'm sure he's restoring his dictionary program right now, at least giving it a Lube, oil, filter and a new coat of IHC Yellow and White...

Are you kidding me? Harry doesn't do any job with a 110%-100 point restoration, rendering the object in question to be useless and only to be seen from behind glass.
