Hi all, i was just wondering if any one has tried the imitation carter carb #26 you can get off epay? They are shurly made in china. Seems like the price is way off what an original Carter would be.

I bought one of those carbs just to see how they were made. very nicely done . It looks like a Kohler carb kit should work in it for a rebuild. only thing I noticed was the float wasn't set correctly

Well, Bill, by now you've probably got it back together. I'm in the same place and am leaving the clip in. I think it's an upgrade from when the manual was written.

Thank you Frank,

Thats kind of what I thinking. Even with the clip in the clutch disk fully engages the hub.

Have a good weekend

Bill

Bill, Frank,
Back in late '60s I had to rebuild the PTO clutch on my 100 and the guy at the parts counter told me to leave the clip in, it will locate the bearing on the end of the crankshaft beveled edge, and the bearing will be flush, and he was right on!

Can anyone clear up the white seat confusion? Every 122 I see has the Ohio rubber seat, I've never seen one with the other type of seat in person. So what seat is correct?

From what I see, this is the correct seat for a 122.
BUT, I have seen 3 variations of that same seat.
