I'm attempting to add dual hydraulic controls to my 129. It currently has the single setup but I got my hands on a dual control valve. Does anyone have pictures of a wide frame with the factory dual setup?
Thanks.

Terry,

No pics, but I made a dual set up that mirrors the IH design for my 149......Kraig, do you have the pics handy????

Steve B., yes I have them. Give me a few minutes to put them together perhaps with some of your original text descriptions.

For starters here's the dual lever control:

<!-quote-!>quote:

Went out in the garage this afternoon and made up some dual hyd. lift levers for the 129 (ok, 149 :) ). Levers turned out very well, and if I paint them correctly and you don't look too close at the shape of the inside lever base, you will not be able to tell them from the real deal. Now as soon as the Dan H. super special tubing piece gets here we can start the install!!!! Best part??? I've got about $15 in the lever materials!!!!

BTW, it also will be getting 1/4" Pioneer couplings on both ends........fun toys to follow!!!!<!-/quote-!>

And a factory version

Here's a few photos of the installed levers.

Hmmm, guess you were not in a 'talkative" mood when you posted 'em all you said was:

Dual hyd. is a tight fit under a wide frame dash!!!!<!-/quote-!>

Kraig -- tried Jameco , MPJ , Digikey , Circuit Specialist (where I got it in 95)... Might try actual photo developer.

Steve -- what ever happened to the "backwards" loader project ? Mine's just like it was 3 years ago, just moved to different location in the shop. I was thinking about how I wish I'd finished it since a buddy is getting 35 ton of gravel and will have to wheelbarrow it with a shovel.

Ken, hmmm, I was sure Jameco had it. How about Mouser or Allied Electronics? Radio Shack still had their PC board kits last year, (or was it 2 years ago?), catalog #276-1535 was the etching solution.

Kraig -- Allied has it in the pdf file. MPJ had it on their website and pdf catalog but said it was discontinued and they were sending me a new catalog ... which also listed it. Kinda p'd me off when they implied that I needed a new catalog to see their updated inventory which I had ordered from to start with. I need TinIt too which Allied has in liguid 17oz @ 27.41 ... powder / mix it yourself is alot cheaper !

The electronics forum is now open ... get those dadblame tractor pics off here before I
poof.gif
them !

Thanks fer da Allied link , hadn't used them b4.

Steve -- how's the hydraulic hose holding up that close to the muffler ? Looks like the oil would be getting mighty hot which is the # 2 killer of hydraulic systems. Well maybe it's # 3 ... dirt , over pressure , heat

EDIT __ Kraig -- that's Etchant not Developer ...

KENtucky...

If you'd like some more Ferric Chloride (etchant), I've got two bottles here, and a box'a double-sided board you can HAVE... You, or anyone near 'ya, Goin' to Prophetstown... I'll bring it along.

Could some one be so kind to verify the part number for carb repair kit that you would use in a 169 (K341)?

I have a 25 757 02-S on order but the parts guy said he wasn't sure that was the right part.

Thanks!

Matt

Just out of curiosity, what the heck can make a Kohler detonate bad enough to do this?!? Upon first glance it might look like the ridge was cutting the area, or there was some serious carbon raking, but ther's no carbon in the grooves so it leads me to think the engine had a fairly severe detonation problem.

Matt,
The number is right cept for the -S, never seen that before.

Just as well go for the throttle shaft kits too.

Well, the -S is what he had in his book, but it maybe just a newer part.

Thanks!

Matt

Tried plowing with my 3235 cub today, had a hard time getting the plow to follow the tractor. The cat.0 3-point swings 2 inches even with the chains as tight as they can go.
This is a regular 10 inch brinly plow with the A-frame adapter for the cat. 0 3-point

Charlie-
FWIW I've noticed some "S" suffixes to several Kohler parts, at first I noticed it on valves where I thought the "S" was the #6 Stellite on the seat, but I've noticed it a couple places on Kohler parts lately. I wonder if possibly it's a "Service" part so when weeding through old numbers it's sort of a red flag to scrutinize whether it goes NLA or not.

Thanks for the pictures and info on the dual hydraulics. This was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks again.

Hey Wyatt... That doesn't look like detonation to me... look at how nice that dome is...

My guess, based on the discoloration of the skirt, and the fact that it's only appears to be one side of the piston that's hawg'd... is that the thing either wasn't cooling properly, or it stuck a ring... what's the bore and head look like?
