Meanwhile at the other end of the shed...I got the motor back together and in the147 I'm restoring.
If anyone has noticed,I have that front axle in backwards,I'll be turning that around tonight

If you installed new brushes and springs, Unhook the drive belt and let the starter wind up to seat the brushes before you try and start it. Usually you can hear the rpm go higher as the brushes seat in and make a better connection.
Ok thanks,I'll do that first thing in the morning and let you know how it went. I did take it back apart earlier and didn't see anything
Got a question,with what degree of difficulty should I be able to turn my rebuilt 321 with by hand?
I notice on my127 I can grab the pulley at the starter and turn it over with 1 hand
